Comprised of over 25 different fruits and vegetables, all meticulously cut out of their backgrounds, I created a rather horrifying collage in this mega-photomanipulation.

With the end goal of creating a face comprised entirely out of vegetables and fruit, the right stock photos were needed to pull this off; so aside from shooting a few of the vegetables myself, I searched the internet up and down to find the right stocks.

In Photoshop, I then cut the stocks out of their backgrounds with the pen tool, alpha-channel selecting, and masking. Getting all the images to work with each other, I focused on distinct facial features and matched up fruits/veggies accordingly. To make the entire piece come together, many adjustment layers were used to change the shadows, color, and overall tone of the piece.
