| VISIT SITE |
Let me start off by saying this was the first website I built by myself. It was made using tables, which I know is frowned upon these days. But at the time, it was all I knew. I've since learned to build websites based on pure html and styling through css styles (including this one!).
I've included this site because I feel it has a very strong layout. The homepage lays out like a nice brochure. Using Cinema 4D, I created a 3-D logo for the band, which dominates the top of the page. Everywhere on the site is easy to get to through the navigation bar, which is nestled right under the logo. The bottom of the page consists of many different links where fans can find the band allover the web, while various links on the in the middle of the layout take to you different places within the site.
I setup an online store so the band could make money right from their site. The T-shirt designs on the site were also done by myself. The pictures thoughout the site are presented with the lightbox javascript plugin, along with a preview when you scroll over a photo. Flash was used to create a presskit viewable right on the homepage (you can view the presskit here). I also embedded YouTube videos of the band performing, so their fans can access them right on the site.
