This clip was a promotional video for the band Hell Rides North. At the time, I was fascinated by the commercials for the NBA, "where amazing happens". (See example here)
They had pictures that seemed to move slightly, giving a very cool, 3-D look to an otherwise flat, static image. After planning out the process, I cut up images in Photoshop to be used in After Effects to achieve the result. I also had to use the clone stamp to recreate parts that were hidden in the original, but "reappeared" when the images moved.
