DNS Industries is a machine shop focusing on grinding large steel rolls, as well as precision CNC grinding, turning and milling. They wanted an updated look to their existing website, and simple to navigate pages with a 3-column theme.
Built on pure HTML/CSS, the pages are light and easy to navigate. Based around the 960-grid system, a solid column based layout was easy to establish. San-serif fonts were used throughout to further emphasize the strong column layout and the cut-n-dry nature of their industry. Implementation of the Lightbox Javascript plugin made for an excellent presentation for the machine photos, the majority of which I shot myself.
An embedded Google Map on the contact page let the customer know immediately where DNS is located, with contact information directly next to it.
I believe the new site maintains the precise nature of the company, while updating the aesthetics of their web presence to appeal to a larger audience. In the end, DNS was very pleased with the final result. They were a pleasure to work with and look foward to working with them in the future.
